Minoru Ito

Works across hardware prototyping, creative coding, UI/UX design, new business development, and branding, moving fluidly between creative and technical domains.

His major projects include UX/HMI design development for the Lunar Cruiser; exhibition planning, development, and design for Dynamic Equilibrium of Life, a Signature Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai; and the design of the Digital Agency’s Web Accessibility Implementation Guidebook.

Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido. After studying Information Design at university, he joined GK TECH, part of the GK Design Group, where he studied under engineering designer Ryuichi Iwamasa. He developed his practice in interaction design through R&D projects with companies and the production of museum exhibits, including work for the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).

He began using the visual programming tool vvvv while developing the compact version of Touch the Earth, and has since contributed to the growth of its communities in Japan and abroad. In 2014, he published vvvvook.
