Takram has worked on the Serendie Design System (SDS), a key initiative supporting Mitsubishi Electric Corporation's digital transformation strategy, since its inception. As Agentic Coding reshapes how digital products are built, it is becoming easier to move from ideas to working software. At the same time, workflows once divided across specialized roles are evolving into more continuous, AI-supported processes. In this context, the role of design systems is becoming increasingly important. This project explored what a design system should become in the AI era, with the outcomes released publicly for anyone to use.
Serendie MCP enables AI agents to work with SDS assets according to context. Released as a remote MCP server, it is available for use with a wide range of AI agents.
Serendie UI Plugin supports UI design with SDS inside Figma. It provides AI-powered guidance, validates designs against SDS guidelines, suggests corrections, and automatically applies Serendie UI components. Available on Figma Community, it is open for anyone to use.
